August in the high desert is beautiful—and relentless. By late summer, the grasses are gold, the ground is dry, the garden has been worked, and hands tend to show it.
August was made for that kind of skin.
The botanicals
Calendula + chamomile are slowly infused into olive oil to create the foundation of the salve. Lavender and tea tree add their characteristic herbal aroma, while beeswax gives August its protective, stay-put consistency.
How to use
Warm a small amount between your fingers and massage into dry hands, elbows, cuticles, heels, or anywhere that could use a little extra conditioning. A little goes a long way.
